ALBERT LIM

Founder & Executive Director

Albert is a senior management executive with over 25 years of experience in Asia's leading hospitality and leisure companies such as Genting Group and Landing Korea.

 

Skilled in operations, budgeting and sales and marketing, Albert's hospitality background and vast network of sales and marketing channels make him a valuable advisor to any organization looking to strengthen its operating performance. 

 

Being fluent in English, Mandarin and the Cantonese dialect, along with his in-depth knowledge of affluent consumer segments in China, puts him at an advantage in the Asian markets.

Career Highlights
 

  • Spearhead Development and Manage Operations of Jeju Shinhwa World Integrated Resort
    Led the team in design, opening and running the USD2.5 billion Korean resort, which covers 2.5 million sqm of mixed development comprising condominiums, theme parks, casino, hotels and amenities.

    Generated more than USD307 million in gaming revenue within six months of opening (in February 2018), mainly from Chinese visitations; the amount exceeded 50 per cent of the combined GGR for Jeju's eight gaming facilities in 2017.

 

  • Head the Operational Design and Planning of the 557-room Genting Hotel
    Opened the hotel in April 2015 on schedule and within budget. The hotel, catering to Southeast Asian leisure and business travellers, is located in Singapore's Jurong Lakeside District.

  •  Pre-Opening Planning and Operational Training of Resorts World Sentosa's (RWS) Staff
    Led the pre-planning and opening operations of the six hotels- which consistently achieved occupancy of more than 85 per cent since opening in 2010.

  • Trained more than 3,000 employees for RWS's six different hotels offering 1,700 rooms and world-class casino.

  • Worked in Reputable 5 star Hotels 
    Albert started his first hotel job in Mandarin Oriental Singapore which is a reputable establishment to build his basic foundations. He next joined Royal Plaza on Scotts and has put his creative flair to good use in their rebranding journey. He has been the Director of Rooms Operations in Pan Pacific Singapore where he played an important role in propelling the hotel to be the best hotel within the Pan Pacific Hotels Group in Year 2007.

MOHD YUSOF

Senior Commercial Director

With a career spanning over 30 years in Hospitality, Yusof has worked in various hotel properties, from 3-star economy hotels to established 5-star properties. He has developed Sales and Marketing plans, business strategies and even handled operations for hotels which were in pre-planning stages. 

 

Yusof graduated from Cornell Nanyang University with a major in Sales and Marketing, Revenue Management and General Management in Hospitality. He looks forward to imparting his expertise in forming sound business strategies to make a positive impact on your business.

  • Held Positions in International Hotel Chains
    Tenure include Mandarin Oriental Hotels Group, Shangri-La International, Amara International and Far East Hospitality Group. 

    In his recent position as the Vice President of the Amara International Hotels & Resorts Singapore, Thailand and China, Yusof led to a sharp increase in revenue for the flagship properties.

 

  • Regional and Global Awards 
    Being a Specialist in Marketing and Revenue Management, Yusof has consistently earned double-digit growth for companies he has worked for.

    His performance clinched him numerous regional and global awards in both Marketing and Revenue Management.

THOMAS KOH

Senior Director, Hotel Operations

Having worked his way up from Front Office, Operational departments to Senior Management Positions in the hospitality industry, Thomas has experienced it all. Along the way, he gained proven track records in Human Resources, Customer Service and Opening and Rebranding in numerous hotels in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia.

 

Firmly believing that "human resources are the most valuable assets of the company", Thomas is passionate in grooming and empowering reporting managers and providing managerial leadership for a motivated workforce. To him, the workforce is the heart of a hotel and ensuring operational, marketing and financial objectives are consistently maintained or improved depends primarily on them. 

 

Thomas is also a staunch believer in "succession planning", and is always on the lookout for a ready pool of competent and experienced staff, preserving the talent and expertise to sustain the operations of the business.

  • Worked in International Hotel Chains
    Thomas honed his craft in hotels such as New Otani Singapore (pre-opening), Mandarin Oriental Singapore (pre-opening), Dai-ichi Hotel (rebranding to Millennium & Copthorne), Holiday Inn Crown Plaza (rebranding to Royal Plaza), The Fullerton Hotel, Garden Cliff Resort & Spa Pattaya (managed by Sofitel, pre-opening) and Sofitel Khao Lak Phang Nga Thailand (pre-opening).

    He has been the Group General Manager for Mida Hotels & Resorts (Thailand) and Director of Operations & Audit for D Varee Hotels & Resorts (Thailand).

Brandon Ong

BRANDON ONG

Director, Real Estate & Facilities Management

With over a decade's experience in Real Estate, Brandon specialises in residential and commercial properties, shopping mall operations and estate management.

 

Brandon holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Washington State University and is a Lifetime Member of the Golden Key National Honor Roll Society. He also holds a CEHA certificate from The Singapore Institute of Surveyors and Valuers. Before being in hospitality,


Brandon was with Knight Frank, an international real estate agency and led a team marketing luxury properties in Singapore.

  • Held Dual Roles in Jeju Shinhwa World Integrated Resort
    Among Brandon's achievements is spearheading the design and operations of one of the biggest shopping malls in Jeju, South Korea. 

    He accomplished the successful relocation of a major duty-free operator into the resort and also brought in key local and international Retail, F&B, Entertainment and Community partners.

    He was concurrently the Head of Estate Management of Jeju Shinhwa Villas and set up an estate management unit that managed the maintenance and operations of its 721 units of premium resort
    condominiums and villas spanning over 250,000 sqm of land.

LEON THAM

Senior Director, Digital Transformation

Leon’s philosophy is to work in harmony with not just the environment but also with technology to achieve excellence.  

 

He firmly believes in using technology to improve lives, especially now. Technology plays a huge role in achieving safety (using contactless systems), enhances workflows and reduces human errors. Simplified processes increase productivity, and in the hotel industry, this means an enhanced quality of offerings.

 

Armed with 20 years of experience and wisdom in launching, managing and marketing international ICT brands such as Legrand/Ortronics, Schneider Electric/Clipsal, Leviton and Vivanco in Asia, Leon owns the APAC growth strategy for Hospitality and Smart Cities Technology Transformation. He also has deep insights and analytics on competition, market and customer needs.

 

Leon aims to reshape the customer’s bottom line through technologies and ensuring customer loyalty and brand satisfaction at the same time. He is keen to assist any hotel group interested in adopting a global strategy of “Customer Convenience and Safety” to gain Market and Mindshare.

  • Manages Infrastructure of Giants
    Among Leon's management of infrastructures and transforming them is the Petronas Twin Towers (Malaysia) and Raffles Hotel (Singapore).

    Leon put in place cutting-edge hotel infrastructure and was part of the team that developed room guest connectivity in Marriot Hotels in the region.
